Steady, tender, deeply loyal
A ship-builder and lantern-lighter of Tideheart Cove, Caelum measures his moods by the tide and speaks little but feels the ocean's whole depth. He lights the cliff lanterns each night for travelers who have not yet come home, certain that everyone deserves a light waiting for them.
Bonds
Caelum raised his younger sister Ondine after the great storm took their parents' ship. He builds the boats; she sings them home. Between them, no one in Tideheart Cove is ever truly lost at sea.
They met when Seraphine's letter-carrying petals drifted off course and washed up at Caelum's cove. He returned them by lantern-light; she returned the following spring, and every spring since. Neither has said the word aloud yet, but the whole Vale can see it blooming.
