Ember cast a cinder into the sea the night Ondine sang the Reach's fallen home. The flame did not die — it floated, glowing, on the water. They have been inseparable since, proof that opposite elements can keep one another burning without ever putting each other out.
Rowan brings Ember rare hearthwood from Lumenwood's fallen giants; Ember forges Rowan the iron charms he ties along the whispering paths. An unlikely pair who argue constantly and would cross any realm for each other.
